I feel that there is no easier way to start an army than create a good background for th emodels to stand on. The background gives the army a flavor, an image, a soul. The plastic soliders become Heroes and there stories legend.
And so on the grounds of this impassioned introduction, I shall try and fumble my way through writing a decent background for my army.
They are the Sons of Mortarion, The Raiders at Dusk.
They are the Fourth Grand Company of the Death Guard.

I know what you mean about the importance of background for an Army. I've been rolling ideas in the back of my head for a long time for the fluff from my BT Crusade (it's been more than a year) and have yet to really put ink to paper. Looking forward to reading yours when you get it done. Good luck, and good Writing.
